Consistent Procedures for Care and Control of Samples
Genex enforces the strictest regulations for the control and care of all samples to ensure that the quality and integrity of each sample is accounted for during the entire paternity testing process, right from the time of sample collection until the paternity testing report is generated.

Strict Identification Procedures
During sample collection, all phlebotomists and nurses follow a strict protocol for collection. All patients are properly identified at their appointment by a series of three mandatory identification procedures: (1) Patients must bring two pieces of legal photograph identification to their appointment (e.g. driver's license, passport; for children the birth certificate and health care card must be presented) for verification and documentation, (2) A Polaroid photograph is taken or the clients are asked to bring a passport photograph and (3) the patient is further identified by fingerprinting.

Tamper-Proof Packaging
The samples are encased in tamper proof packaging and sealed with a tamper evident security seal and initialled by the patient as well as the collector.

Strict Chain-of-Custody Protocols
Strict chain-of-custody procedures are followed for all samples to ensure that the integrity of the sample can be maintained and traced from the moment of sample collection until the time it reaches the testing laboratory.

Secure Transport
All samples are delivered by express courier using an internationally recognized courier company.

Internal Tracking Documents
A strict continuity of possession and handling is maintained for all samples received by the laboratory.

Auditing
Semi-annual internal and external auditing is implemented to ensure the highest level of Quality System Management.
