Immediately after sample collection, the collection vessel is labelled in the presence of the patient and then dated and signed by the collector as well as the specimen donor. The samples are then encased in tamper proof packaging and sealed with a tamper evident security seal. The intact security seal is dated and initialled by the patient as well as the collector. The stringent protection of the samples ensures that the integrity of the sample is maintained both during and after sample collection.
