Haplogroup
Also known as a Clade. In relation to genetic genealogy, refers to the grouping of humans traced to common ancestors detected through shared SNP markers in the mtDNA and Y-DNA phylogenetic tree. Named by alphanumeric labels, such as R1a, I1b, etc.
