Glossary - Sub-branch

 

Sub-branch

Refers to the further branching of a main branch in the Y-DNA or mtDNA phylogenetic tree into. For example, E1 and E2 are sub-branches of Y-DNA Haplogroup E. E1a and E1b are sub-branches of E1. Also see Subclade.
