Y Chromosome
One of the two sex determining chromosomes, it's counterpart is the X Chromosome. Females have two X Chromosomes (XX) and males have one X Chromosome and one Y Chromosome (XY). The Y Chromosome is passed down from father to son along the paternal lineage. Also known as Y-DNA.
