There are currently two methods in which the specimen could be collected,
depending upon the patient's requirements.
Legal Testing
If the patient requires the results for court proceedings
or for immigration, strict chain-of-custody procedures must be followed
during the specimen collection appointment. Patients are not allowed
to collect their own samples for legal testing. To proceed with legal
testing, please contact our laboratory directly at 1-888-262-2263 to
schedule an appointment for chain-of-custody specimen collection. Specimens
from different members do not have to be collected at the same time
or in the same city. Regardless of which city the sample is collected
in, the results will become available 3 to 5 days after sample collection.

Private Testing
If the patient does not need to use the results in court and the results are
for personal knowledge only, the specimen could be collected in private or
with physician's assistance at any time using the buccal swab collection method.
To proceed with the private test, order the private collection kit online or
by telephone at 1-888-262-2263. A private self collection kit will be shipped
directly to your patient's address (or to the address specified when the order
is placed).
