Forensic DNA Test |
|
Forensic testing is often used to match a sample to a suspect. By testing a forensic sample, a genetic identity profile is obtained. Like a fingerprint, each individual has a very unique DNA identity profile. As a result, a laboratory can test a forensic sample such as a stain, tissue, etc. and match it to the contributor of the sample. To proceed with an identity match, it is recommended to test the forensic sample first in order to see if a genetic profile can be obtained. Once the profile is obtained, the suspect can then be tested to see if there is a match. Two forensic samples can also be tested against each other to see if they came from the same person. Please call Genex directly to discuss your particular situation so that we can help you to choose the best type of test for your particular situation. |
